We hope you have a safe and happy holiday weekend. Mexico Beach 5K run/Walk- This event begins at Under the Palms Park off of 7th Street in Mexico Beach at 7 AM CT. Click here for the Race Course Map. Registration forms for the Beach Blast 5K Run Walk can be brought to the Mexico Beach Welcome Center during normal business hours of 9AM – 4PM CT or you can register between 6AM -6:55 AM at the park on Saturday before the race. Registration is $10- children and pets are welcome. Click here to download the Registration Form. This is a fun run/walk and is not a sanctioned event. Kids Fishing Tournament – This is a free event for children up to 13 years old. The tournament is at Canal Park and the parking will be across the street in the boat trailer parking lot. We will have trophies for the longest fish and most fish caught. The Mexico Beach CDC will provide free bait, hotdogs, snacks and drinks to all kids. The first 200 kids will receive a free hat. There is no pre-registration. You register at the canal as you enter the tournament. Best Blast Fireworks Show- The fireworks will be shot off of the pier on 37th street. You will be able to see the fireworks from anywhere on our beaches. Please do not try to park or go on the pier. They will go off as soon as it turns dark around 8:15 PM CT.
